UNION, NJ- The Utica University men's lacrosse team fell to host Kean University 19-6 in non-conference play Saturday afternoon.
Kean used seven goals in the first half and tacked on 12 more in the second half to come away with the win.
Sophomore
Sam Serrano (Stone Ridge, NY/Roundout Valley) led Utica with four points on the day on two goals and two assists.
John Avery (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) had two goals while
John Spoto (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon) and
James Daniele (Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville) each had one goal.
Jon Goodspeed (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) and
Patrick Oswald (Deer Park, NY/Deer Park ) combined for 14 saves for the Pioneers.
Utica (4-4) returns to action Wednesday as it travels to Russell Sage for the 2022 Empire 8 Conference opener. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
