UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's golf team will compete on Sunday at the NWGC Invitational. It will be held at McGregor Links in Wilton, NY.

Clarification: The NWGC-sponsored events held this weekend will not count towards the conference championship, which will be held in the Spring on April 22nd and 23rd.

The Lineup: Utica will bring Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School), Abby Ainsworth (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse), Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer), Paige Graves (/Fayetteville-Manlius), Riley Morris (/Lancaster), and Hannah Kirk (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) to the course this weekend.

Tee Time: Abby Ainsworth (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) will get the tee sheet started for Utica as she enters the tee box at around 10:36 a.m. on Sunday. Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer) will be the last Pioneer to tee off, with her group starting at approximately 11:21 a.m. 

The Course: McGregor Links is a cluster of four courses located in Wilton, NY. With its location just outside of Saratoga Springs, McGregor is the fifth-largest golf club in the Capital Region. All four courses were designed by acclaimed designer Devereux Emmet, who also designed the Blue Course at Congressional. 

The Field: Athletes from Husson, Westfield State, Canton, Mount Saint Mary, Suffolk, Utica, Cobleskill, Cortland, Keene State, St. John Fisher, Keuka, and Nazareth are set to compete this weekend. 

Last Time Out: The Pioneers finished in 11th place with 792 strokes at the Hamilton Invitational on September 10th and 11th. Riley Morris (/Lancaster) (/Lancaster) finished 56th overall at 38-over-par to lead Utica. Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School) (Framingham, MA/Brooks School) finished tied for 58th with a total score of 187. She shot a team-best 89 in her Sunday round. 

What's Next: The Pioneers will play SUNY Poly on Tuesday, October 4th in a Dual Match.
