WEBSTER, NY - The Utica University swim and dive program finished day two of the Empire 8 Championships on Thursday night. The women ended the day in fourth place with 148 points and the men sit in fourth with 94 points.

Paige Levine did wonderful in the women's 500 yard freestyle placing second in the second heat finals with a time of 5:31.64. Bailey Simmons participated in the same heat and finished ninth clocking in 5:46.00.Â

Ainsley Vyse came in fifth place in heat two of the women's 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.99.
Jackson Sorbello (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) placed ninth in heat two of the men's 50 yard freestyle clocking in at 23.09.

Sara Kuiken, Paige Levine, Ainsley Vyse, and Bailey Simmons placed fifth in the women's 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:47.19. Kira Seaman, Aimee Oswald, Annabelle Workman, and Kimberly Serio placed seventh in the finals clocking in at 2:05.24.

Phillip Ross (Newark, NJ/Newark), and
Ronald Batario (Glassboro, NJ/Gloucester County Institute of Technology) came in eighth place in the men's 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.57.

The teams will continue Day 3 of the Empire 8 Championships tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m. with the prelims.
