Dobay, Allen and Parker Earn AHCA All-American Status

BOSTON, MA - Three members of the No. 1 Utica University men's hockey team were selected as All-Americans by the American Hockey Coaches Association, as announced by the AHCA on Thursday. 
 
Jayson Dobay (Weymouth, MA/Youngstown Phantoms (USHL)) was named First Team East at defense while Justin Allen (Hilton, NY/Rochester Monarchs (NCDC)) and Remy Parker (Montclair, NJ/University of Maine (NCAA DI)) were named Second Team East; Allen at defense and Parker at forward. 
 
Dobay, who is also a finalist for the Sid Watson Award, received First Team East honors at defense. Dobay ranked first nationally with 32 assists on the season, which also tied a single-season program record, and 1.10 assists per contest. The junior finished the year tied for most points on the team with 37 and was second on the team in plus/minus at plus-31. Dobay is the reigning UCHC Defensive Player of the Year, received his second All-UCHC First Team nod and earned a spot on the UCHC All-Tournament team this season. This is Dobay's second All-American nod after being selected to the second team in the 2021-2022 season.
 
Parker was named to the Eastern Second Team at forward after setting the single-season record for goals in program history with 23 goals. The All-UCHC First Team honoree ranked third in the nation with 23 goals on the season and averaged .79 goals per game. He was one of the best in the league in power play situations, scoring eight goals on man-up opportunities which was tied for first in the UCHC. Parker led the Pioneers with 148 shots on goal and was clutch with three game-winning goals to highlight his outstanding season. 
 
Allen was named to the Eastern Second Team at defense and received his second All-American bid. In the 2021-2022 season, he was a First Team All-American East selection at defense. In 22 games played this season, Allen led the team with 19 blocked shots. He also contributed with three game-winning goals and 15 assists this season. This season he received his third-straight All-UCHC First Team Defense, marking it as the fifth all-conference honor for his career.
