St. Paul, MN - The Utica University water polo team fell to Wittenberg by a score of 15-2 on Friday afternoon in round one of the CWPA Championships.
 
Wittenberg came out firing with a 12-1 halftime lead. Yet, Utica made some key halftime adjustments and allowed just three second half goals while finding the net once more. 
 
Amelia Laible () and Kimmy Serio each scored one goal for Utica while Kelly Waryncia (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) recorded the lone assist. 
 
In net, Kimmy Serio made 11 saves and allowed just three second half goals.
 
Utica (0-11) will continue competing at the CWPA Championships on Saturday at 11:20 a.m. with the opponent to be determined.
