UTICA, NY - The Utica University men's soccer team falls to the Alfred Saxons 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Noah Scranton (Utica, NY/Whitesboro) registered his first goal of the season and all five goals were scored in the second half.

Foti Xidias (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) started in net for Utica, making four saves, all in the first half.

Both teams went scoreless in the first half as Utica and Alfred combined for 11 shots, seven for Utica and four by Alfred. The teams would head into halftime tied 0-0.

The Saxons struck first just over two minutes into the second half. Juan Jose Menendez Guttierez tallied the goal to give the team a 1-0 lead. At 48:47, Alfred Scored its second goal, taking a 2-0 advantage.

Utica scored at 50:31 in the second, as Scranton cut the margin to 2-1. The Saxons scored two more goals to close out the second half as they went to win 4-1.
