Zachary Accetta (Rocky Point, NY/Rocky Point) played the second half, recording a clean sheet on three saves. Hobart opened the scoring 11:27 into the first half off a penalty kick by La Zai Outerbridge. Eight minutes later, Utica scored on an own-goal, giving Hobart an early 2-0 advantage. In the first 30 minutes, Utica outshot the Statesmen six to one, two of which were on goal. Hobart went into the second half up 2-0. Both teams went scoreless in the second half while combining for 15 shots, eight from Hobart and seven from Utica. The Statesmen would edge the Pioneers 2-0.

Martin Mendoza (Walden, NY/The Mount Academy) and Noash Nassberg have been getting off a handful of shots lately. Mendoza registered four shots in the past four matches and collected two goals, both in the same game against Russell Sage on October 9. He leads the Pioneers with four goals on nine shots on goal, while Nassberg has a shot in eight out of 10 matches

Scouting Hartwick: The Hartwick Hawks are 5-6-1 overall and 3-4 in E8 play. The team is on a three-game winning streak entering Wednesday's match on Laura M. Casamento Field. In those three games, the team has combined for eight goals and allowed only one. Three players lead Hartwick with two goals: Jake Daly, Hunter Bulich and Kwame Amissah-Arthur. Daly leads the team with four assists, collecting all four in the past three matches.
