GENESEO, NY -  The Utica University men's soccer team dropped its matchup against Geneseo, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon
 
Mason Bucher (Rocky Point, NY/Rocky Point) led the team with one shot on goal. Joseph Cavallo (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central), Cody Baker-Green (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) and Nico Leonard (Long Beach Township, NJ/Southern Regional) each tallied one shot.
 
Foti Xidias (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) started in goal, making three saves. 
 
Utica's Bucher let off the first shot two minutes into the match, but Geneso's Vincent Maronski was there to make his first save. Geneseo scored first with 33 minutes to play in the first half by Stefen Nikolic giving the Knights a 1-0 advantage heading into the second half. 
 
Geneseo struck again nine minutes into the second half with a goal from Gen Famularo, assisted by Vasion Sinjari. The Knights finished the match with another goal as Geneseo would go onto to win 3-0. 
 
Utica (1-4-6, 0-1-6 Empire 8) travels to Albany, NY, for a match against Russell Sage College on Wednesday, October 9, at 7 p.m.
