ROCHESTER, NY - Makayla Purdy (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) earns Empire 8 Women's Goalie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
 
Purdy and Utica played SUNY New Paltz in the team's season opener. She made six saves with five coming in the second half in her first collegiate game.
 
Purdy and the Pioneers travel to No. 23 SUNY Cortland on Wednesday, February 26 at 4 p.m.
