HARTFORD, CT -
Brian Scoville (Agawam, MA/Alabama-Huntsville (NCAA DI)) of the No. 2 Utica University men's hockey team has earned American Hockey Coaches Association First Team East All-American honors, as announced by the AHCA on Wednesday night.
Scoville was previously named the UCHC Player of the Year as well as the UCHC Defensive Player of the Year.
The Pioneer captain helped guide the team to the second NCAA Division III Frozen Four Semifinal appearance in program history, as well as to the team's third consecutive UCHC Championship.
Over 29 games so far this season, Scoville leads the team with 33 points on nine goals and 24 assists. The senior defenseman also boasts a +42 plus/minus which tops the team. His point, goal and assist totals all set career highs and brought his three-year total to 66 points on 52 assists and 14 goals.
Scoville and the Pioneers will take on No. 1 Hobart College in the NCAA Division III Frozen Four Semifinal at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at the Koeppel Community Sports Center on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
