UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's lacrosse team will host SUNY Canton on Wednesday, March 27 at 4 p.m. followed by Senior Day on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. against Keuka College.

Last Time Out: The team defeated SUNY Morrisville 20-10 on Monday afternoon to increase its winning streak to six. Samantha DeCondo became just the second player in program history to eclipse 200 career points after today's game.
Grace Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) led the team with six points, scoring four goals and two assists.
Alyssa Drell (Mastic, NY/William Floyd) scored four goals with
Jordan Kowalski (Chicopee, MA/Plattsburgh State (NCAA DIII)) scoring one and racking up a trio of assists for four total points.
Samantha DeCondo (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) recorded a hat trick with four shots on goal.

Maria Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro)and
Aana Blaszka (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy) collected five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Makayla Purdy (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) won her sixth game, recording 10 saves. She collected five in each half.
Grace Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) collected three goals and two assists in the first quarter. She scored her first goal at the 10:58 mark with an assist from Kolb giving Utica a 1-0 lead. About two minutes later, Morrisville struck back evening the game at one. Utica would score five unanswered goals in just under four minutes as the team would lead 6-1 with 2:26 remaining. Morrisville would score with 37 seconds left and with 14 seconds, DeCondo notched a goal, sending Utica into the second quarter up 7-2. Four different players would register one goal in the second quarter for Utica as the team went into halftime with an 11-4 advantage. Utica outshot Morrisville 19 to nine in the first half. The Pioneers went five for five, clearing the ball while limiting their turnovers to just three in the second. The team won 10 draw controls and made five saves. Utica saw five different goal scorers in the third quarter, taking a 16-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Morrisville and Utica each scored four goals in the fourth quarter. Utica would close out the game on a two-goal run, earning them their sixth consecutive win for a 20-10 victory.

Senior Day: The team will honor their eight seniors against Keuka College on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m.

Milestone Reached: Samantha DeCondo (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) became just the second player in program history to eclipse 200 career points after the team's 20-10 defeat over SUNY Morrisville on March 25. She has scored five goals in five out of eight games played this season along with leading the team with nine helpers. DeCondo is also in the top eight in the record book in games started with 58 in her career.

Goalie of the Week:
Makayla Purdy (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) earned Empire 8 Women's Goalie of the Week after her stellar performance against Oneonta on March 21. She collected 13 saves for a .722 save percentage. Recently, she's been on a tear as she ranks third in league play with an 8.55 goals-against average and top five in save percentage (.473).

Point Production: Utica's potent offense has outscored its opponents 109 to 35 dating back to March 2 against Oswego State. 15 different players have scored at least one goal and 12 players have at least one assist. The Pioneers lead the conference with 120 goals scored, averaging 16.29 per game. The attack trio of

Grace Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) are scoring at a high level this season as they've scored at least two points since the Oswego State game.
Grace Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) also leads the league with 48 draw controls, averaging seven per game. The three are responsible for 68 of the 120 goals scored this season.

Ella Lindheimer (Stephentown, NY/Averill Park).
Aana Blaszka (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy) and
Maria Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) have each been ferocious on the defensive end, combining for 19 caused turnovers. Blaszka has 25 ground balls this season as she's totaled 113 in her career. She is four ground balls away from cracking the top 15 in the women's Pioneer record book.

Scouting Canton: The SUNY Canton Roos' are 3-3 overall and no games played yet in the NAC. The team is on a two-game winning streak against Salem State University (18-9) and Keuka College (15-3). Junior midfielder Maddy Caron leads Canton with 23 goals, seven assists, 45 shots on goal and 43 draw controls. Junior midfielder Lindsey Wunder leads the Roos' with 11 assists. Senior goalkeeper Olivia Scott is 3-3 overall with a .426 save percentage.

Scouting Keuka: The Keuka College Wolves are 0-5 overall with no games played in the Empire 8. Sophomore Tori Nelson leads the team with six goals and two assists. Three other players have three goals and at least two assists. Senior midfielder Julia Bauder leads the Wolves with nine draw controls and is tied with Liz Spin for seven caused turnovers. Freshman goalie Lauren Vitello has a .424 save percentage along with 50 saves
