UTICA, NY - Byamungu Mugushu (Syracuse, NY/Bishop Grimes) continued his epic season and career for Utica University's men's soccer team with a four-goal performance over the Pioneers' last two games. He was named the E8 Co-Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season following his two-goal season debut. The graduate forward scored a hat trick in their 10/8 home match with Russell Sage. This was the second of his career and his third multi-goal game of the 2025 season. Mugushu added a goal on a penalty kick in the team's most recent matchup, bringing his career points total to 78 and tying Utica's program record.

Mugushu's next chance to break the record comes in a road match against Hartwick College on Wednesday, October 15th. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. If he is held to zero points, for just the second time this season, he will have back-to-back chances on home turf, beginning with a 1:00 pm matchup against Nazareth on October 18th.
