UTICA, NY - The Empire 8 has announced its All-Conference selections, recognizing two Pioneers. The honors come following the completion of the E8's Women's Golf Championship, which took place at Teugega Country Club on October 12th and 13th. Utica placed 4th at that event, with one top-five finish.
Sophomore
Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central) was named to the Empire 8 First Team following her 5th overall finish at the championship event. She turned in scorecards of +24 and +16 across the two days for a final score of +40. This is already Weaver's second time on the E8 First Team after she earned Rookie of the Meet honors in the 2024 season.
Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) has been named Utica's recipient of the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders award. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2025 Women's Golf Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
The team is still on its break for the winter season. Action will resume during the spring semester!
