ROCHESTER, NY - The Utica University women's cross country team finished in 15th place out of 23 teams at the NCAA Niagara Regional Championships, hosted by RIT on Saturday morning.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was Marlo Townsend (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) who crossed the finish line in 30th place with a time of 22:53.5. Catherine Manna (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) was the next Pioneer across in 49th place with a time of 23:33.5.
Next across the line for the Pioneers was Lacey Simmons (Vernon Center, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) who finished with a time of 25:44.7, followed by Emma Charboneau (Fultonville, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) with a time of 27:01.5. Isabella Verdejo (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) finished closely behind Charboneau, crossing the line with a time of 27:14.1.
Rounding out the scorecard for the Pioneers was Caroline Young and Kamryn Williams (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills), who finished with times of 27:42.9 and 30:15.8, respectively.
