UTICA, NY - The Utica University men's indoor track & field team completes Day 1 of the heptathlon and will continue tomorrow. Theodore Tsamis (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) and Joseph Sabatino are the only two athletes competing for Utica. Tsamis completes day one in eighth place and Sabatino in 10th. 
 
Tsamis's best event came in shot put where he scored a 10.45m throw, good for a personal record. Sabatino marked a 9.49m throw. Tasamis ran a 7.85 in the 60m and Sabatino ran a 7.61. Tsamis had a 1.71m leap in high jump and Sabatino scored a 1.62m jump. Long jump saw Sabatino score a 5.60m jump and Tsamis with a 5.89m jump.
 
The Pioneers continue with all other events tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
