WESLEYAN, CT - Men's wrestling finishes day one at the NCAA DIII Regional Championships, hosted by Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon.
 
Trevor Cortright (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) (133lb) will enter tomorrow's championships in the semifinals against reigning national champion Chase Randall of Coast Guard.
 
Cortright put on a display of great wrestling in the first round, beating Christopher Dubey of Bridgewater State by tech fall, 21-2. He dominated the first period, winning 13-2 behind three takedowns and one nearfall. In the second period, he shut the door with a takedown and another nearfall to secure the victory.
 
In the quarterfinal, Cortright defeated Caden Frost of New England College by decision, 7-2. He was able to win by securing two takedowns and riding time.
