NEW LONDON, CT - Utica University's men's wrestling team competed Saturday at the NCAA Division III Region 1 Championships, hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy inside Gregory Field House. The Pioneers sent 10 wrestlers to the regional event, battling through championship and consolation brackets against a deep Northeast field. Utica was limited to just one bout win on the day, ending the program's third season.
Utica's lone victory came at 184 pounds, where
Nuallan King (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl Area High School) delivered a strong consolation performance with a fall over Bridgewater State's Kaleb Rhoton at 4:04. King built a 9-3 lead before securing the pin, earning the Pioneers' only win of the day before concluding his tournament in Consolation Round 4.
The remainder of Utica's lineup competed across multiple rounds in their respective brackets.

Seth Richardson (Fort Plain, NY/Fort Plain) at 174, and Matt Riche at 197 each faced regional opponents from programs including Wesleyan, Coast Guard, Bridgewater State, Norwich, Emmanuel, and Southern Maine, battling through both championship and consolation action.
With the Region 1 Championships complete, the Pioneers conclude their 2025-26 season following a full slate of conference, invitational, and postseason competition.
