MORRISVILLE, NY - The Utica University women's lacrosse team used 14 goals in the first half to take down the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs, 18-3 on Tuesday evening.
Grace Stuhlman (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) is now the all-time leader in draw controls in program history with 249, previously set back in 2008 (245). She is also third all-time in program history with 181 career points (134 goals and 47 assists).

Makayla Purdy (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) started in goal, posting five saves in 30 minutes while collecting her third straight win between the pipes.
Angelina Borowiec (Clinton, NY/Clinton) played the second half and recorded four saves.

Seven players totaled at least one caused turnover for Utica and 16 totaled at least one ground ball.

Fish got Utica on the board in the first two minutes and Morrisville responded to make it a 1-1 game with 13:13 remaining in the quarter. The Pioneers would score eight unanswered, closing out the first quarter up 9-1.

All five goals scored in the second quarter were assisted and scored by five different players. The Pioneers took a convincing 14-1 lead into halftime.

Utica slowed the pace of play in the second half, scoring four goals compared to Morrisville's two. The second half saw four different goal scorers, three of them coming unassisted.
