RENSSELAER, NY - Eight members of the Utica University men's track and field team took on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Under the Lights Invitational on Friday afternoon.
In the 200m, Nolan Flynn (Bethel, CT/Bethel) was the top finisher for the Pioneers, clocking in a seventh place time of 22.40.
The 4x100m team of Chris Ganley (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush), Ethan Kain (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford), Shane Tinney (Whitesboro, NY/Oriskany), and Flynn finished third in the field of six with a time of 43.06.
The 4x400m team of Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central), Evan Smith (Baldwinsville, NY/Baker), Tristan Vargo (East Aurora, NY/Orchard Park), and Flynn took home first place with a time of 3:22.28.
Utica returns to action on Sunday, April 13 as the team hosts its final home meet of the season. Start time from Laura M. Casamento Field is set for 9:30am.
