HOMER, NY - Utica women's golf sits in sixth place out of 10 teams after round 1 at the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational on Saturday. The team combined for a +96 (384) on the par 72 course at the Cortland Country Club.

Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School) stands in 18th place out of 50 golfers with a +16 (88). She shot a 47 on the first nine and a 41 on the second nine. She hit for par five times on holes four, six, 11, 15 and 17 with her best hole coming on a par-3 where she shot for birdie. 
 
Riley Morris (Buffalo, NY/Lancaster) stands in 26th with a +20 (92). Morris scored a 48 on the first nine and 44 on the second nine. She scored three holes for par and two for birdies, one coming on a par-5 and one on a par-3. 
 
Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central) is in 32nd with a +28 (100). Weaver had a 52 on the first nine and redeemed herself with a 48 on the second, shooting three consecutive for par on holes 13, 14 and 15. 
 
Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) sits in 39th with a +32 (104). Graves shot a 52 on the first nine and a 53 on the second nine. 
 
Round 2 picks up tomorrow at the Cortland Country Club in Homer, NY. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m.
