UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's golf team readies for the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, both beginning at noon. The NWGC Spring Championship will be held at the Winstonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

The Lineup: The Pioneers have five golfers on this weekend's scorecard:
Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School),
Riley Morris (Buffalo, NY/Lancaster),
Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central),

Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius).
Last Time Out: The team last competed at the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational on April 12 and 13. Utica placed sixth overall out of ten teams, with Morris fishing as the Pioneers' top scorer, tying for 20th out of 51 golfers. Between the two-day event, she carded a +37 for 181 strokes. Stefanini was Utica's second-best finisher, placed 26th, and scored a +40 during the two rounds, followed by Weaver's 28th-place finish (+40) and Graves's 37th overall finish (+65).
Team Leaderboard: 11 schools, including Utica, will compete this weekend: SUNY Cobleskill, Keene State, SUNY Cortland, Suffolk, Westfield State, Keuka, Husson, St. John Fisher, Nazareth and SUNY Geneseo.
From the Past: Utica placed third overall out of eight teams in the fall NWGC Championship, combining for 376 team strokes. Weaver was Utica's top finisher, placing sixth overall out of over 30 golfers. She carded an 85, 15-over, along with shooting a 39 on the second nine.
