BLOOMFIELD, CT - The Utica University women's golf team placed third overall out of 11 teams at the NWGC Spring Championship on Sunday at the Winstonbury Hills Golf Course. The team also placed third overall in the fall championships.

The tournament was reduced from 36 holes to 27 after weather halted play on Saturday with some teams finished and others not. Only scores from the front nine were eventually counted from Saturday (Cortland and Suffolk were the only two schools to complete 18 holes that day), and the teams played 18 holes Sunday in windy conditions.

Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central) placed 10th out of over 50 golfers, scoring a +29 over the two-round championship. She scored a +12 in round one and a +17 in round two. 
 
Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School) placed 14th and scored a +32 over the two-round championship. She went eight over in round one and +24 in round two. 
 
Riley Morris (Buffalo, NY/Lancaster) placed 21st and shot a +40 in the two rounds combined. Morris shot +14 in round one and +26 in round two. 
 
Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) placed 27th, carding a +43. She totaled a +13 in round one and a +30 in round two.
