UTICA, NY - The Utica University women's golf team opens its 2025 spring season.

 Schedule Breakdown: The team competes in the Keuka College Spring Invitational on Thursday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan, New York. On April 12 and April 13, Utica plays in the Martin/Wallace Cortland State Invitational. A time and course is yet to be determined. Utica completes their season at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship (NWGC) on April 26 and April 27. Both rounds will be played at the Winston Hills Golf Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
 
Meet the Team: Utica returns the same lineup from the fall. Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central) leads the way with a handful of top finishes for Utica with her best coming at the Canton Invitational where she shot an 85. The Pioneers also welcome back Emily Elwood (), Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius), Carly Stefanini (Framingham, MA/Brooks School), Maya Jerome (), Angela Hawthorne (Santa Clara, CA/Meijer), Riley Morris (Buffalo, NY/Lancaster) and Emma Simpson ().
 
From the Fall: In the NWGC Championships, Utica placed third out of eight teams, combining for 376 strokes, which was the team's best performance in the fall. Weaver, Stefanini and Morris all placed in the top 20 out of 45 competitors.
 
About Irondequoit CC:  The course is a par seventy-two that plays at 6,792 yards. Three of the holes were ranked by the PGA among the toughest 50 holes on the Nationwide Tour. While Irondequoit is one of the most scenic courses in the Rochester District, it is also among the top ten most difficult. The course has been the proud host of a variety of amateur and professional golf events which include US Amateur Qualifiers, US Open Qualifiers, Pro-Am's and more recently the Nationwide Tour's Xerox Classic.
 
Keuka Spring Attendees: Six institutions including Utica will be attending: Russell Sage, William Smith, Keuka, Nazareth and SUNY Canton.
