MARCY, NY - Utica University women's lacrosse took down the SUNY Poly Wildcats 20-4 in conference play on Wednesday evening.
Alyssa Specchio (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) scored a career-high six points off four goals and two assists and
Angelina Borowiec (Clinton, NY/Clinton) made her first career start in goal, totaling three saves.

It was a team effort from the draw circle as nine players tallied at least one. Specchio, Kowalski and Alteri led Utica with three each. Maria and Cangemi grabbed two and Grace,
Olivia Grant (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) Nora Gross (Cortland, NY/Cortland HS) and
Ella Jentsch (Rosendale, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) had one each.
The Pioneers scored 10 unanswered goals in the first quarter. Kowalski recorded all four of her goals in the first and Utica would enter the second quarter with a 10-0 advantage. The Pioneers outshot the Wildcats 18 to one in the first quarter, 13 were on goal.
Cangemi scored with 13:51 remaining on an assist from Grace, but Poly would score their first goal with just under 11:30 to play, making it an 11-1 game. Utica scored eight consecutive goals to close out the third quarter, 19-1.
Poly notched three goals in the fourth quarter compared to Utica's one which was scored by Fish as the Pioneers took home a 20-4 victory.
Utica (5-5, 2-2 Empire 8) hosts SUNY Brockport on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
