DANBURY, CT - Another day, another accolade for senior shortstop star Brooke Beleza (Amherstview, Ontario/Jefferson Community College).
 
The Amherstview native picked up another achievement this past week, being named to the Division III Softball All-ECAC Team alongside 13 of the best players from around the entire northeast region.
 
Beleza was an insanely reliable option in the leadoff spot for Utica, attaining an average of nearly .500 throughout the entire campaign and routinely coming through in big spots for the team.
 
Her meteoric rise has been a success story for the ages, slotting in as the Pioneers' most dangerous bat after playing a supporting role just one season ago. Her rapid growth turned her into one of the region's most dominant forces.
 
She will add this accolade to her stacked trophy case from this season, which includes an All-Region III First Team nod, an All-Empire 8 First Team selection, and a spot on the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team.
