UTICA, NY - The Utica University men's indoor track and field team will travel to Boston, MA for the BU Terrier Invite on Saturday, January 31, with events beginning at 10:30 am.

Relay Triumph:Â The men's 4x200m team of
Nolan Flynn (Bethel, CT/Bethel),
Wayne Spencer (Rochester, NY/Padilla (Franklin Campus)),
Frank D'Angelo (), and
Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) placed first with a time of 1:30.39, the second fastest time in program history.

Co-Track Athlete of the Week:Â The Empire 8 has announced its athletes of the week, with men's track and field sprinter
Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) being included in the honorees. Warren helped the Pioneers win two events at the Ithaca College Six-Way Meet, earning two AARTFC qualifications. He will look to carry his momentum into the team's upcoming event, the Boston University Terrier Invite.Warren began his day in Ithaca in the 400-meter dash, besting the 50-second mark and finishing after 49.63. Shortly after, Warren served as the anchor in the 4x200m relay, helping propel Utica to a 1:30:39, which ranks second fastest in program history. Both finish times bested the AARTFC qualifying standard.

Speed and Stamina:Â Kaleb Davis (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer Central) placed sixth with a 8.93 finish in the 60m hurdles. Davis now ranks ninth in the conference and tenth in program history.
Tobias Jeralds (Canaan, NY/Chatham Central) took home second in the mile with a 4:28.18, good enough for eighth all-time and second in the Empire 8.
Forest Martin (Poland, NY/Poland Central) and
Anthony Leotta (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills West) placed first and second in the 800m with times of 1:59.37 and 2:00.77 respectively followed by
Eddy Corporan (Poughkeepsie, NY/Roy C Ketcham) in eighth and
Killian Bauer (Verona, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherill) placing ninth. Martin moved to tenth in the conference, and seventh all-time in program history with his 1:59.37 finish. Leotta also made his way to the all-time program list, claiming tenth.
Bennett Melita (Johnstown, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) took home first in the 5000m crossing with a time of 15:30.60. Melita leads the conference in the 5000m.
Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) and Flynn locked up the top three in the 400m with times of 49.63 and 50.49. Warren claims third and Flynn takes over eighth in the conference. Â

Field Power Plays:Â Joshua Talbot (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 17.02 followed by
Spencer Borghardt (Smithtown, NY/St.Anthony's) with a 16.62 throw earning him third.
Logan Hewitt (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) earned fourth in shot put with a throw of 14.28, now ranking third in the conference. Aaron Hognson cleared 4.30 in the pole vault taking home second, and
Kaiden McCaskill (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) took home third in high jump, clearing 1.84.Â
