UTICA, NY - Utica University's women's hockey team continued its Kick Off Tournament with a round two consolation game against the #13-ranked Colby College Mules. The visitors kept pressure on throughout the game, jumping to a 3-0 lead before Utica could respond in the final minutes of the second period. Colby responded twice themselves early in the third to close out a 5-1 victory over the Pioneers. With the result, Utica falls to 3-8-0 on the season, while the Mules reach 5-2-0.
Freshman
Camryn Behonick (Vestal, NY/) netted her first collegiate goal to score Utica's lone tally of the day. The score was assisted by
Nora Pollestad (Stavanger, Norway/) and

Katherine Sheahan (Oak Lawn, IL) earned another start between the pipes, and was called upon early and often. Of the 42 shots on goal she faced, 37 of them were saved.
Colby's point scoring was split between seven players, headlined by a fantastic day by senior captain Breanna Studley, who pocketed four total points in the contest. Of the seven players, all but two of them earned at least one more point, though no player scored more than one goal. Studley opened the scoring in the game, followed by Courtney Schumacher scoring the eventual game-winner. Marion Legge, Molly Lefebvre, and Megan Martodam added the other Mule goals. Allie Corrieri's two assists joined Studley's three as the only players with multiple assists. Legge, Lefebvre, and Martodam each added an assist onto their total.
Studley opened the scoring at the 15:12 mark of the first period to break the even score. Colby came out with a hot start in the second period, netting goals at the 2:36 and 5:40 marks. Behonick's responding goal came with 1:26 remaining in the period. Just under five minutes into the third period, Lefebvre scored the team's fourth goal, followed by the final goal of the game just 42 seconds later.
