GREENWOOD, IN - Three members of the Utica University women's basketball team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Basketball NCAA Division III Team, as announced on Wednesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. To qualify, athletes must meet high performance standards in their sport and have at least a 3.50 GPA. Schools nominate their top student athletes, and those selected to the All-District team move on to be considered for Academic All-America.
The Pioneers' selections are as follows:
Natalie Cornell (Greenwood, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg), So., C - Occupational Therapy
*Vanessa Hall (Independence, NY/Whitesville Central), Jr., F - Cybersecurity
McKenzie Simmons (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook), Sr., G/F - Dietetics & Nutrition
Vanessa Hall (Independence, NY/Whitesville Central) has also been selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced April 14, 2025.
