UTICA, NY - The Division III Football season is just 24 short days away. However, D3football.com has given some early recognition to a Pioneer superstar, as returning tight end Logan Frederick (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) was named a Preseason First Team All-American by the publication, becoming the first Pioneer player to achieve the honor since Anthony Acevedo, who did so ahead of the 2014 season.

Frederick was listed as the top returning tight end in all of Division III football, a sentiment shared by many as the Little Falls native came out of nowhere to become a three-time All-American in 2025. Frederick, who began his collegiate athletics career as a basketball player at Herkimer College, made the switch to tight end prior to the 2025 season, a move that paid dividends as he was named an AP Second Team All-American, D3football.com Fourth Team All-American, and a Walter Camp Division III All-American just this past season alone.

In addition to his All-American nods, Frederick achieved an array of other stellar accolades in 2025, including D3football.com First Team All-Region II, First Team All-ECAC, Empire 8 Football All-Conference First Team, and even flexing his muscle in the classroom by being named the Empire 8 Football Torchbearer Recipient.

The Little Falls product will link up with 2025 Gagliardi Semifinalist Tyler Szalkowski (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute) once again, as Frederick hopes to build on a stellar season that saw him catch 74 passes for 867 yards and 12 touchdowns. Frederick was untouchable in the open field, racking up tons of yards after the catch. He'll try to replicate this production starting in week one, as the Pioneers open up 2026 with a titanic tilt in the annual Mastrovito Auto Group Believe 271 Bowl. The Pioneers will face PAC Champion Washington and Jefferson down at Gaetano Stadium in just a few weeks' time.
