UTICA, NY - For the second straight week, the Pioneers have placed a player on the D3football.com National Team of the Week. This week, star wideout Tyshawn Taylor (Syracuse, NY/Syracuse Institute of Technology) makes his Team of the Week debut following a performance that was easily one of the best outings in all of Division III during this past Saturday's win against RPI.

Taylor put together one of the greatest receiving performances in program history during the team's 38-14 victory over RPI. The Syracuse, New York native hauled in just eight receptions, but managed to rack up a career-high 244 yards, totaling the second-most single-game receiving yards in program history. Taylor capped off his stellar showing with a 69-yard touchdown, powering the Pioneer offense throughout the afternoon. He had catches of 69, 51, 38, and 31 in the win, with each of his eight receptions going for over 10 yards as he produced 30.5 yards per reception. 

Taylor joins Logan Frederick (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) as D3football.com National Team of the Week selections, with the Pioneer tight end having secured a spot during the Pioneers' week one victory. Dating back to last season, this is the team's fifth selection in three weeks, as the offensive line, along with Frederick and safety Eli Douglas (Ausable Forks, NY/Ausable Valley), were named to the final D3football.com Team of the Week in 2025. The team has 10 selections dating back to the beginning of last season, grabbing those 10 spots in just 13 games. 

The team will be back at home this weekend, welcoming Hobart College to Gaetano Stadium for a big Mohawk Valley Challengers Day clash. That contest is sponsored by Human Technologies, and will kick off at 1:00 PM at ABM Field. Both teams will look to continue their undefeated start, as each program will boast a 2-0 record heading into this weekend's matchup.
