Biography

2013-14: Hamel started all 23 games she played between the pipes … Accumulated a record of 13-9 … Saved 567 of 627 shots for a 2.61 goals against average and .904 save percentage … Named to the ECAC West All-Academic Team … Recorded 14 saves in her only shutout of the season against SUNY Cortland (11/16/2013).

2012-13: Played in 17 games on the year ... Finished the year with a 10-6-1 record ... Had a 1.98 goals against average ... Had three shutouts ... Saved 360 shots with a .914 save percentage ... Recorded 29 saves in a shutout win against Potsdam (1/13/13) ... Named to the ECAC Women's West All-Academic Team.

2011-2012: Played in 17 games for the Pioneers… Compiled a 7-7 record… Totaled a .932 save percentage and a 2.15 goals against average… Tied for eighth in the country in save percentage… Had a career-high 56 saves in a 7-1 loss to #2 RIT (11/5/11)… Had seven games with at least 30 saves… Also recorded three shutouts.

2010-2011: Played eight games in goal for the Pioneers, starting all eight... Logged 415:26 minutes and finished with a 5-2 record... She had an 1.73 goals against average and a .938 save percentage... Recorded one shutout against Cortland (11/23/10)... Had 32 saves and allowed one goal in a victory over Nichols (1/14/11).

Personal: Jennifer is a 2010 graduate of Northwood School and is the daughter of Kimberly Phoenix and Brian Hamel…. She is currently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.
