Biography

2016: Started in 14 of his 15 appearances for the Pioneers over the course of the season … He was second on the team with his 24 caused turnovers and also scooped up a total of 28 ground balls … His great effort against Elmira helped the team win the game 13-4 as he scooped up four ground balls and caused a season high of five turnovers (4/30/16).

2015: Started in all 16 games during the season for the team … He completed the season with 21 ground balls, one assist, and did not commit a penalty all year … His 24 caused turnovers was second best on the team … Against Houghton College he performed well by helping the team win 26-5 with his one assist, four ground balls and four caused turnovers (4/25/15).

Personal: Matt is a 2011 graduate of Chaska High School … He is the son of Brenda Baungart and Mark Werkmeister and is pursuing a degree in Health Studies.
