Utica University Athletics

2016: DeNome recorded 31 tackles (12 solo and 19 assisted) this season… He also had 1.5 sacks… In the Pioneers’ season opener against Misericordia (9/3), junior Chancellor Harris forced a fumble inside the Misericordia five yard line and DeNome jumped on the ball in the end zone to give Utica its third touchdown of the game… He also moved into sixth on the College’s all-time list with 10.0 career sacks after recording two sacks against Brockport (10/8).  

2015: Played in 10 games… Recorded 23 tackles including 10 solos, 13 assisted, and 6.5 tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks… Had seven tackles and two sacks in the Pioneers’ overtime win over Ithaca…

2014: Played in 11 games… Recorded 32 tackles, 12 unassisted, and five for a loss of 16 yards… Recorded 1.5 sacks for a loss of five yards… Forced one fumble in UC’s 35-14 win over Alfred… Recovered one fumble in the Pioneers’ 20-12 victory over Frostburg State… Broke up one pass in Utica’s 42-28 win over Brockport.

2013: Played in six games… Recorded eight tackles, four unassisted, and 2.5 for a loss of 11 yards… Recorded two sacks for a loss of nine yards.

Personal: Frank is a 2012 graduate of Cornwall High School and is the son of Barbora and Frank DeNome … He is currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
