Field Hockey

2014: Started all 21 games for the Pioneers… She was fifth on the team in points (23) and goals (7)…She was second on the team in assists (9)…She had two goals against Hamilton College (10/1/14) including her only game winner of the season… She was third on the team with 1,318 total minutes played… Dowling earned All-Region Second Team Honors for the first time in her career.

2013: Dowling started in 21 of 22 games played … She recorded six goals and eight assists … She finished the year fourth on the team with 20 points … Her eight assists was tied for the team lead … She netted six goals on 57 shots … She had two game-winning goals … She played in 1,203 minutes which ranked fifth on the team … She recorded a .105 shooting percentage … She registered a season-high three points (one goal, one assist) against Castleton (11/13/13) … She had a season-high two assists on two different occasions … She has six points on two goals and two assists over the course of three games midway through the season … She scored the game-winning goal for UC in the Pioneers’ 4-0 win over Ithaca College (10/2/13) … She also recorded the game-winning goal in Utica’s 3-1 victory over Castleton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium (11/13/14) … Named an Empire 8 All-Conference honorable mention for the first time in her career.

2012: Played and started all 21 games… Had two goals and three assists on nine shots on goal… Had one of the Pioneers’ two goals in Utica’s 3-2 overtime loss to DePauw in the “Sweet Sixteen” of the NCAA Tournament.

Lacrosse

2016: Played in and started in all 16 games during the season … With a total of 15 points on the year she scored 12 goals and had three assists … She showed great hustle as she was third on the team with 41 ground balls … Also contributed with 14 caused turnovers and 14 draw controls … She recorded two hat tricks during the season, one coming in a 16-8 win against Elmira College where she also had three ground balls and three draw controls (3/26/16) … She recorded a career high of seven ground balls in her efforts to help Utica pull out an 8-7 win over SUNY Potsdam (3/19/16) … At the end of her senior year she was named Utica’s Sportswoman of the Year by the Empire 8.

2014: Played in all 16 games while starting five ... Scored 13 goals and added five assists ... Took 35 shots with 21 on the goal ... Scooped up 25 ground balls ... Caused seven turnovers ... Secured six draw controls ... Scored three goals in a 19-8 win at New England College (3/21/14).

2013: Played in 15 games while starting 12 … Scored eight goals and added five assists … Scooped up 23 groundballs on the year … Forced 16 turnovers … Registered a season-high four points in the Pioneers’ 19-3 win over Sage (3/13/13).

Personal: Colleen is a 2012 graduate of Fairport High School and is the daughter of Gail and Brian Dowling... She is currently pursuing her degree in Physical Therapy.
