Utica University Athletics

2016-17: McVeigh recorded 22 points on seven goals and 15 assists in the 27 games he played this season… He scored his first goal of the season in Utica’s 5-2 win over Neumann University (11/4/16)…  He later scored a season-high two goals in the Pioneers 5-0 win over Stevenson on Feb. 10.  

2015-2016: Played in all 28 games for the team during the year … During the season he led the team in total points with 19 with seven goals and team high 12 assists … He finished the year with a plus-minus rating of plus three … On the defensive end he was active with his 14 blocks and only committed two penalties all season … Played a big role in the team pulling out a close one against Manhattanville as he scored two goals including the game winner in the 4-3 victory (2/27/16) … Made one assist and scored a goal as the Pioneers battled Nazareth on their way to a 5-2 win (2/19/16).

2014-2015: Appeared in 21 games for the Pioneers… He had eight points off of four goals and four assists … He tallied six blocks on the season …He had a season high two assists against Manhattanville (1/30/15).

Personal: Anthony is a 2011 graduate of St. Michael’s Catholic High School and is the son of Bob McVeigh … He is currently pursuing a degree in Business.
