Cross Country

2015: Ran in seven meets during the season for the team … In the 8K at the NYSCTC XC Championship he finished with a time of 26:23.6 coming in 14^th place out of 96 runners (10/24/15) … He finished with a time of 26:13.6 at the Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational in the 8K race (10/3/15) … He ran his best time of the season at the Empire 8 Championships finishing the 8K with a time of 26:01.9 (10/31/15) … Earned himself the honor of Second Team All-Conference in the Empire 8.

2014: Winberg opened his sophomore season placing 8^th at the SUNYIT Short Course Invitational (8/30/14) with a time of 20:25… Placed 3^rd at the Steven Warde Invitational (9/6/14) with a time of 30:41.2… Finished 30^th at the Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational (10/1/14) with a time of 27:09.9… Placed 23^rd at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships (11/1/14)… Finished the year at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships (11/15/14) in 76^th place with a season-best time of 26:42.8.

2013: Winberg placed 22^nd at his first college race at the 7^th Annual Wildcat Invitational (8/31/13) finishing with a time of 20:48, the team placed second at the meet…  Finished seventh out of 71 runners at the Steven Warde Invitational (9/7/13) finishing with a time of 29:19.0, the team placed first at the meet…  Tied for 58^th place at the Saratoga Cross Country Invitational (9/20/13), finished with the time of 28:08.2…  Placed 60^th at the 35^th Annual Geneseo Cross Country Invitational, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:21.3 … Finished 24^th at the Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational, finishing with a time of 28:06.4 …  Tied for 26^th place at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships (11/2/13) clocking a time of 27:41.6, as a team UC placed second.   

Track & Field

2016: Participated at seven meets over the course of the indoor season for the team … He ran his personal best time in the Mile of 4:25.34 at the Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Championships coming in eighth place at the meet (2/13/16) … At the Utica College Pioneer Invitational he came in first place in the 1000M event with a time of 2:33.20 (2/20/16).
 
Throughout the course of the outdoor season he competed at six different meets for the Pioneers … He was a member of the 4X8 team that competed at the NYSCTC Outdoor Track & Field Championships that recorded a time of 7:50.51 that was good for second place at the meet (5/6/16) … He ran his personal record time in the 1500M event at the NYSCTC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 4:06.45 (5/6/16).

Personal: Erik is a 2013 graduate of Rome Free Academy and is the son of Julie and David Winberg... He is currently pursuing a degree in Health Studies.
