Cross Country

2015: Ran in eight meets for the Pioneers during the season … At the Saratoga Invitational he finished with a time of 22:10.6 in the 6K race (9/12/15) … He ran the 8K race at the Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational with an ending time of 28:26.6 (10/3/15) … He ran his best time of the year at the Empire 8 Championship with a time of 27:55.2 in the 8K race (10/31/15).

2014: Barbagelata began his collegiate career placing 63^rd overall at the eight Annual SUNYIT Short Course Invitational (8/30/14) with a time of 23:25… Placed 86^th at the NYSCTC Championships (10/25/14) with a clock time of 30:07.8… Completed the season at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships where he placed 62^nd overall clocking his season best time of 29:29.6.

Track & Field

2016: Competed in five meets over the course of the indoor season … Set new personal best times in the 800M and the Mile while participating in the 4X4 for the first time in his college career as well … At the Utica College Pioneer Invitational he set his career best 800M time at 2:05.21 (2/20/16) … The new best time for the Mile is 4:48 which he set at the Utica College Doris Miga Invitational (2/6/16) … In his first collegiate 4X4 race he finished with at time of 3:38.91 at the Utica College Doris Miga Invitational (2/6/16).
 
During the outdoor season he competed in five different meets for the Pioneers … He ran both the 5000M and 10,000M races which were both new to him at the collegiate level … He ran the 5000M at the Jerry Gravel Classic finishing with a time of 17:38.88 (4/16/16) … His first career 10,000M race ended with a time of 37:45.07 at the Alvernia Crusader Classic (4/2/16).
 
Personal: Karsten is a 2014 graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and is the son of Cynthia and Edward Barbagelata … He is currently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.
