Biography

SOPHOMORE YEAR: His sophomore season saw career highs in every statistical category. In a game vs Mount St Mary, the sophomore scored a career high 18 points. In that same game, he also converted 8 field goals and grabbed 15 rebounds. He averaged 4.5 points per game and shot an impressive 61.8% from the floor. The center tallied up 30 blocks, 21 assists, 130 rebounds, and scored 109 points for the season.
FRESHMAN YEAR: Murphy’s freshman year resulted in shooting 50% from the floor and grabbing a total of 10 rebounds. Eight of those came in an impressive showing against Montclair State.
PERSONAL: Murphy was a standout at Hudson High School in his hometown of Hudson, NY.
