Jason LaScala

LaScala joins in the Utica University football coaching staff in August 2025, following a four-year career on the team. Jason, a defense end, played at least one game in all four of his years, with all but two of his games played occuring in his junior and senior seasons. He totaled 23 tackles over his time, with 4.5 TFLs and one forced fumble. 

Prior to Utica, LaScala was a 2021 graduate of Plainedge High School in Massapequa, New York, his hometown. While there, LaScala earned All-County honors several times, and helped lead his school to thier first Long Island Championship. Away from campus, Jason has worked at Bethpage Black Golf Course since 2021. Bethpage has been the site of several high-profile PGA events, including the 2019 PGA Championship, the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Opens, and will host the 2025 Ryder Cup in late September.
