Jerrod Clowes was hired in the summer of 2017 as an assistant coach for the offensive line and strength and conditioning.
Clowes returns to Utica after a brief stint at the University of Rochester. Before assisting with the Yellowjackets, Clowes was an athletic assistant with the Pioneers for two seasons. In his new role, he will oversee the Pioneers’ strength and conditioning program, as well as assist Head Coach Blaise Faggiano with all facets of the program including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as game and practice preparation.
Clowes was a four-year member of the Pioneers, suiting up for the orange and blue from 2009-2012. He was also a three-year starter on the defensive line. Clowes was instrumental in helping turn the program around, as during his senior year, the Pioneers won a then-record six games, and finished with a winning record in the E8 for the first time in school history (4-2).
Originally from Rochester, NY, Clowes currently resides in Utica. He graduated from UC in 2013 with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
