Coach Kramer's Video BioJim Kramer joined the Utica College coaching staff as the Pioneers’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach during the summer of 2013. In his first year orchestrating the offense Kramer coached Anthony Acevedo, the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Year.
Kramer previously served as head football coach, physical education teacher, and faculty manager of athletics at Schenectady High (Schenectady, NY). As head coach for four seasons and offensive coordinator for the 2 years previous to that the Schenectady Patriots reached new heights. Schenectady earned a trip to the Section 2 Class AA finals for the first time in school history and also made 6 consecutive playoff appearances. In 2012, Coach Kramer was named Section 2 Class AA Coach of the Year.
Upon graduation from Springfield College, Kramer had coaching stops that included being a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, Oneida High (Oneida, NY) and as an offensive graduate assistant at Springfield College as the running backs coach. Kramer also served as Springfield College’s head junior varsity coach during his time as a graduate assistant.
Kramer graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Springfield College. As a student-athlete,
Kramer was a member of two Freedom Football Conference Championship teams. The 2000 Springfield College team reached the National Quarterfinals.
Jim is married to his wife, Sara. They reside in Rome, NY with their two children Nolan and Maryn.
