Coach Kaires returned to the Utica University football program in August 2025, directly ahead of the 2025 season. He rejoined the team as a graduate assistant coach, transitioning into a coaching role following his stellar playing career. Kaires stepped into the role of Tight Ends Coach, helping develop the position group that he was a part of from 2022-2024. He also took up many of duties involved with helping run a successful program, including social media management, while pursuing his Master's Degree at the same time. Kaires also assists with travel coordination, strength and conditioning, and took on numerous key roles with the JV program like offensive coordinator.Â
Originally from St. James, New York, Kaires graduated from Smithtown East High School in 2021 before joining the Pioneer football program that fall. He was a four-year player for the program, graduating in 2025 with a degree in Health and Physical Education. Kaires was a part of the most successful years of Utica football to date, with the team posting a 24-9 record during his tenure, also capturing an NCAA Tournament first round victory in 2022 and an ECAC Clayton Chapman Bowl victory in 2023.Â
