Ryan Wilson was hired as an athletic assistant in charge of running backs for the Utica College football program in the Summer of 2014.
Wilson played four years of varsity football at Division II Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pa. under head coach Scott Browning. A true ironman, Wilson started in 43 consecutive games at center on the offensive line for the Fighting Scots and he was named a team captain in his senior campaign. In his junior and senior seasons he earned the program’s distinguished Lineman of the Year honor. Over the course of four seasons he guided the Fighting Scots to 23 victories (18 wins at home); including two consecutive seven win seasons in 2010 & 2011. In his senior season he helped the Edinboro offense average 22.4 points per game while totaling 3,462 total yards of offense (314.7 per game).

at the Be the Best Football Camp in Buffalo, NY. As a camp coach he taught athletes the proper techniques and football skills, and he also participated in equipment and facility management. Wilson also volunteered at his former high school of Sweet Home over the course of the last two Summers; assisting with coaching duties during the football teams Summer workouts and camps.
Wilson played for head coach John Faller at Sweet Home High School, where he was a three-year starter and helped the Panthers to the 2008 Class A New York State Championship. He boasted a 30-3 overall record as a high school starter. He was a first team All-New York State selection as a senior and he was also a first team All-League choice as a junior and senior. He earned first team All-Western New York honors as a senior and was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman. He was also a member of the track & field team at Sweet Home.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, he was born on August 26, 1991 and graduated from Edinboro with a degree in Individualized Studies. He is the son of Linda and Brian Wilson and has two siblings. His father Brian played football and coached at the University at Buffalo.
Wilson currently resides in Utica and will be pursuing his master’s degree here at UC.
