    Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
David Wadas was hired in the Summer of 2016 as the assistant men’s basketball coach.
 
Prior to Utica, he spent three seasons at Hartwick College. While at Hartwick he helped guide the Hawks to the Empire 8 Conference Tournament each season, winning two Empire 8 Championships and earning two automatic bids into the NCAA Division III Tournament.  While at Hartwick his main duties were recruiting, player development and scouting reports.  He helped develop one Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year, several all-conference players, a Josten Trophy Finalist, and an All-America.
 
Prior to Hartwick, Wadas spent two years coaching at his alma mater SUNY Oneonta. At Oneonta, he helped develop one SUNYAC Rookie of the Year.  During his playing days with the Red Dragons he was a member of the school's all-time winningest team in 2009-2010, finishing 22-7, while earning an at large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament. David was also a member of the SUNYAC All-Academic Team.
 
Originally from nearby New York Mills, NY, he currently resides in Utica, NY.  He is pursuing his master’s degree at Utica College.
