Tim Borza

Tim Borza was hired as an assistant coach for the Utica College men’s basketball program in the Summer of 2021. Borza will assist Head Coach Sean Coffey with all aspects of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation, along with day-to-day operations.

Borza played at Whitesboro High School where he was a four-year Varsity starter. By career end, he set school records in most points, assists, steals, 3-pointers made and free-throws made. He was also selected as an “All-State” player following the conclusion of his senior year and made an appearance at the Empire State Games.

After graduation, Tim attended Syracuse University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and Finance. While there, he spent most days working in the Syracuse Athletics Department. He was hands-on in several aspects of day to day operations including trainings, recruiting, scheduling, and promotions.

In his first season at Utica, Borza helped the Pioneers record the most wins and most conference wins in a season in program history as well as capture the team's first Empire 8 Championship. Borza was apart of the Empire 8 Coaching Staff of the Year.

In his spare time, Borza enjoys hanging out with his dog Bruce and getting pumps in during lunch.
