General: From Mississauga, ON, Canada, Hughes is a 2020 graduate from Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Before joining Utica, Hughes played for the Mississauga Reps, Burlington Cougars and Milton Menace, where he stared in the OJHL All-Star game. He is pursuing his degree in business management.Â
As a Freshman (2023-2024): Appeared in all 30 games, scored 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists), Named to UCHC All-Rookie Team, One Time UCHC Rookie of the Week. AHCA Krampade All-American Scholar. UCHC All-Academic Team.
As a Sophomore (2024-2025): Appeared in 27 games, recorded 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists)Â UCHC All-Academic Team
