Patrick Kirtland was hired in the Fall of 2016 as the assistant men’s hockey coach. He will assist Head Coach Gary Heenan with all facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, scouting, recruiting, as well as game and practice preparation.
Kirtland comes to Utica after a successful four-year playing career at Division I University of Connecticut where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communication. Kirtland suited up in 137 games for the Huskies and served as a captain for two seasons. He was also a member of the Hockey East All-Academic team.
Originally from Rocky Hill, CT, he currently resides in Utica and is pursuing his Master’s Degree from Utica College.
