lacrosse team at Hamilton College under the tutelage of head coach Scott Barnard. In the three year span, he helped guide the Continentals to 23 victories and two consecutive appearances in the highly competitive NESCAC Conference Tournament. The NESCAC is one of the top athletic conferences in NCAA Division III, and men’s lacrosse is no exception. Four NESCAC teams played in the 2012 NCAA Championship and one advanced to the semifinals. Misiaszek was instrumental in helping to develop 2012 NESCAC Player of the Year and First-Team All-American Jon Leanos, who finished his career ranked fourth on the College’s all-time scoring list.

Prior to his time at Hamilton he also gained experience coaching and recruiting at the junior college ranks as he spent one season as an assistant at nearby Mohawk Valley Community College.

During his playing days, Misiaszek was a four-year letter winner under the guidance of head coach Steve Beville at NCAA Division III lacrosse power SUNY Cortland (2007-2010). The Red Dragons posted a 69-13 record during that span and appeared in the NCAA tournament all four years, including three consecutive trips to the national championship game. Misiaszek was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2009 national championship game when Cortland defeated Gettysburg College 9-7 for its second NCAA crown in school-history. In the national championship game he netted a career-high five goals.  He also helped guide the Red Dragons to three consecutive SUNYAC Conference Championships.

He finished his collegiate career with 73 goals and 29 assists for 102 points. He is one of just 43 players in program-history to join the 100 point club. As a senior captain in 2010, he was a third team All-American selection at midfield and played in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III Senior North-South Game. He played in all 21 games that year, scoring 39 points on 31 goals and eight assists.

He graduated with a Business Economics degree from SUNY Cortland in 2010. Originally from nearby New Hartford, NY, he attended New Hartford High School and graduated in 2006.  While at New Hartford he was a two-year starter on the lacrosse team and was named first team all-league while guiding the Spartans to a Section III title.  He was also a two-year starter, two-time first team all-league selection and MVP of the football team.

Brandon is the son of Laura and Ron Misiaszek and he has two siblings, Dave and Meghan.  His brother Dave is a Utica College alum who played three years of varsity lacrosse (2006-2009) and currently ranks tenth on the College’s all-time list with 55 career goals.Â
