Coach Mugushu returned to the Utica University men's soccer program in August, ahead of the 2026 season. He rejoined the team as a graduate assistant coach, pivoting to a coaching/developmental role following his incredible playing career. Mugushu will focus on assisting his former playing teammates in a coaching role, while pursuing a master's degree in education.
Originally from Syracuse, NY, Mugushu graduated from Bishop Grimes High School before joining the Pioneer soccer program. He was a four-year player for the program, setting a historically great career. Mugushu was a core piece of some of the most successful Utica Soccer years to date. The team made deep Empire 8 Tournament runs during his tenure, appearing in the Semi-Finals after massive conference wins in 2025.
