Matt Esposito was hired in the Fall of 2016 as the assistant men’s soccer coach. He will assist with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation, as well as day-to-day operations in the office.
Esposito comes to Utica after spending the last two seasons as an assistant at Eastern Connecticut State University. Esposito helped lead the Warriors to a Little East Conference semifinal appearance in 2014 and a LEC Regular Season Championship in 2015.
Esposito is a 2013 graduate of Eastern and a four-year starter at midfield and back. He was a two-year captain, helping the Warriors to two regular-season and two post-season Little East Conference championships, as well as three NCAA Tournament appearances and an overall record of 60-19-8 (21-4-3 in the conference) during his career. He also earned first-team All-LEC and LEC playoff MVP honors as a senior.
Originally from East Haven, CT, Esposito currently resides in Utica and is pursuing his master’s degree at UC.
